Wedding Ceremony and Reception at Flamingo Gardens - November 8th, 2014
On Saturday, November 8th, 2014 I had the pleasure of DJing/MCing the Ceremony and Reception for Justin and Morgan Brady at the beautiful Flamingo Gradens. The Ceremony took place outdoors in a gorgeous garden just outside of the reception hall. For the Bridal Party Processional, I played Bittersweet Symphony, by The Verve. For the Bride’s Processional, she walked down the isle to the song 1,000 Years, by Christina Perri. After a beautiful Ceremony, everyone walked out to the song At Last, by Etta James. Following the Ceremony, I played a mixture of classical music and string ensembles for a cocktail hour. Following the Cocktail Hour, I introduced the Parents and Grandparents of the Bride and Groom to the song Celebration, by Kool and the Gang. Then, I introduced the Bridal Party to the songs Run the World, by Beyonce for the Bridesmaids and Here Come the Hotsteppers for the Groomsmen. The Bride and Groom were introduced with the song Let’s Get Ready To Rumble! Following the introductions, I announced that it was time for the first dance. The Bride and Groom danced to the song Lucky, by Jason Mraz. Then, Morgan and her Father danced to the song My Girl, by the Temptations. After that, the Justin danced with his Mother to the song Perhaps Love, by John Denver. After the first dances, the Father of the Groom delivered a beautiful toast. The Bride specified that it was a lively bunch and there was no need to keep things low key for dinner service. So, I started dinner service with some of the more low key music requested for the reception and ramped things up from there. By the time dinner service concluded, the dance floor was mostly packed. After about an hour of dancing, I announced that it was time to cut the cake to the song Love and Marriage, by Frank Sinatra. After we cut the cake, I announced that it was time for the Bride to do the bouquet toss. As I dropped Milkshake, by Kelis, I called for all the single women to join the Bride and I on the dance floor. After the toss, I situated the bride on a chair and had the groom remove the garter to the song Red Light Special, by TLC. For the toss I dropped the song Bad to the Bone, by George Thorogood. For the Garter placement on the Maid of Honor, I played Buttons, by the Pussycat Dolls. The rest of the evening, I DJed a mixture of music that the Bride and Groom hand picked and mixed in a good selection of Top 40. For the closing, the Bride and Groom chose, Last Dance with Mary Jane, by Tom Petty. On behalf of Eddie B and Company and the Flamingo Gardens, I would like to thank them for a great night. Congrats again Justin and Morgan!
