Good day bloggers
DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the wedding blog.
Today's adventure takes us to the Lauderdale Yacht Club. A classic spot with a rich history.
As the guests entered the room for the ceremony, I was instructed to play some music by the Vitamin String Quartet. The bridal party entered to "A Thousand Years" by Christine Perri. Then Rachel walked down the aisle with her dad to "This I promise You". She looked beautiful. The ceremony was quite traditional and straightforward. Once it ended, I played " Isn't She Lovely" for the exit song..
Cocktail hour started directly afterward and I played some typical RAT PACK tunes. Frankie and the Boys, etc.
The main event brings us into a wonderfully decorated room, complete with Royal Blue LED Up lights provided by Eddie B. & Company. The guests also enjoyed Eddie B & Company's "Strike A Pose" photo booth through the entire reception.
The grand entrance of the bride and groom was after that. I played " Seven Nation Army" by White Stripes.
The first dance was " At Last" by Etta James. (One of my favorite tunes).
After I sat everyone down, I asked the parents and maid of honor and best Woman to say their speeches. They were very funny and heartwarming.
Dinner was served and I played some cool tunes to keep the flow going.
After Dinner, I invited Dad to dance with Rachel. They danced to "My Little Girl and My Girl". Then Justin danced with his mom. "She's Got a Way" by Billy Joel was used.
Rachel also wanted to dance with her brother. "Hero" by Mariah was used.
I then got the rest of the guests up and we got the party started.
The crowd was very mixed, so I played tuned from a lot of different genres. Including 80's 90's and of course top 40 tunes.
The garter and bouquet toss happened after the cake was cut and went over very well.
Then I danced the rest of the night!
A great party for a great couple.
