Wedding and Reception at the Fountaine Bleu Hotel / South Beach

On Friday March 30th, 2012. One of the most famous hotels on Miami Beach, The Fountaine Bleau was the setting for Nicole and Micheal Fiammetta's dream wedding.  The ambiance at the Fountainebleau was perfect for Nicole, Michael and their 120 guests who were mostly from the NY/NJ area.  The ceremony took place outside by the pool on the great lawn where as Nicole and her father walked down the isle a huge crowd gathered on the boardwalk to witness the exchanging of the vows.  The best part of the ceremony was the song that Nicole chose for the processional.  She requested that I play We Go Together by The cast of Grease.  It was a nice touch and all of the guests made there way to the cocktail hour singing and dancing to the song.  After the cocktail hour everyone was directed to the main ballroom.  As the guests entered it was obvious that they loved the way the room was decorated and they seemed very excited to get the party rockin'!  For the grand entrance Nicole and Michael chose I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas for them and the entire bridal party.  It felt like a sporting event the way that the crowd was cheering for Nicole and Michael.  The first dance was Make You Feel My Love by Adele (Live at Royal Albert Hall).  Nicole then danced with her dad to I Loved Her First by Hearland and Michael danced with his mom to I Hope You Dance by Leanne Womack.  The prayer before the meal was given by Nicole's uncle Torleif Brattli.  Nicole requested that the 5 food stations, 2 bars and the dance floor open at the same time and remain open for the entire evening.  It worked perfect because some of the guests wanted to dance and drink first before the meal.  Towards the end of dinner Michael requested a very special song for his Aunt Gen.  It was Hero by Mariah Carey and it brought down a few tears from the immediate family.  The 2 very funny toasts were given by Alexis (maid of honor) and Carlos (Michael's best friend) then I got the thumbs up from Nicole to pump the party up.  Nicole and Michael who love to dance gave me an extensive song list that included top 40, hip-hop, r&b, a few love songs and a lot of progressive dance music.  Nicole's vision was to have a Wedding/Celebration not just a wedding reception.  She wanted a South Beach meets New York City mix of music and that is exactly what she got.  I got a chance to show off my mixing and blending skills for the hyped up crowd and they loved it. The dance floor was completely packed as they fist-pumped the night away.   The last song of the evening was Glad You Came by The Wanted and as I thanked everyone for dancing they turned to me and gave me a standing ovation.  This is the sole purpose of why I am a full time DJ.  That crowd reaction keeps me coming back for more!!!  A special thanks to Arlene and her staff at The Famous Fountainebleau Hotel, if there was such a thing as a 6 star hotel...this would be it.  Also thanks to Violet and Ben (the wedding planners) for an excellent and professional job well done.  The videographer was Bobby Doyle Video and the pictures were taken by Munoz Studios (Tommy and Marc)...I can't wait to see the video and pictures.  Congrats to Nicole and Michael and to the entire Fiammetta and Garces families.  Perfect day, perfect venue, perfect planners, perfect music and a perfect couple!!!!!  This wedding I will never forget!!DJ Ray
