On Saturday December 3rd, 2011 I played for Hali and Mathew Meyer and 114 friends and family members at the Grand Palms Country Club. It was a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding and the setting was picture perfect on the golf course behind the country club. For the processional music the bridal party walked to "Butterfly Waltz" and Hali walked to "Cannon in D". Once they exchanged vows and celebrated by breaking the glass I played "Beautiful Day" (How Fitting) for the recessional. The cocktail hour was a mix of adult contemporary music and then the real party started. The reception room was lit & decored in lavender uplighting provided by Eddie B & Company. Once we started the intros I filled the ceiling with LED dance floor lights. I introduced the newlyweds only to "I Gotta A Feeling' and the entire room was up on their feet and very festive! Hali and Mathew chose "Chasing Cars" as their first dance and later did a combination dance with their parents to "Through the Years". My audience for the night were very open minded and responsive to the music selections I played throughout the night. The dance floor just rolled all night long....disco, hip hop, R&B, Top 40 hits, classic rock, and a few ballads for all ages to enjoy! For the cake cutting it was L.O.V.E. by Nat King Cole and the garter/bouquet was a variety of fun tunes! For the final song it was the "Dirty Bit (Time of my Life)" and then a send off to the Carribean on a 2 week cruise aboard the Holland America Lines. Hali & Mathew, I want to thank you for your hospitality, I enjoyed playing for your special day.....DJ/MC Eddie B!
