Cantious and Tracy Melchor were married on 5/15/2011 at the Grand Plaza Hotel in St. Petersburgh beach.  The beautiful ceremony took place on the beach in front of friends and family and a few curious on-lookers that were walking by.  After the ceremony Cantious and Tracy stayed on the beach for pictures with immediate family as the guests made there way to the hotel pent house for cocktail hour.  The pent house was on the 10th floor with a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Mexico.  Everyone was exited when Cantious and Tracy were presented for the first time as husband and wife.  They danced to All My Life by  KC and Jojo for the first dance.  Tracy then danced with her dad to Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion.  There were a few short toasts by the maid of honor, best man, Tracy's dad, Cantious' dad and Tracy's favorite uncle.  Everyone then enjoyed a buffet style dinner as I played a mix of tropical, reggae and easy listening favorites that were requested by Tracy.  Most of the friends and family were from Barbados.  After dinner the dance floor opened up. Tracy provided me with an extensive list of great reggae, soca, calypso and top 40 songs that her crowd really enjoyed.  The crowd favorite was definitely Dollar Wine by Byron Lee. Everyone joined in for that one. Since Tracy is a New Yorker the last two songs were Empire State of Mind by Jay Z and Alicia Keys and New York, New York by Frank Sinatra.  Tracy's favorite uncle ended the night by singing along to New York, New York with the rest of the family.  I was very happy to see that Cantious and Tracy enjoyed their wedding as much as the guests did.  Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Melchor.  Cheers!!
