On Saturday March 16th, 2013, I finally had the enjoyment of playing at the "New" Grand Terrace in Boca Raton for Cari and Travis Davis and fifty family members and close friends. The evening started with a ceremony on the outdoor terrace for which I played the instrumental version of "Paradise" by Coldplay for the parents and bridal party, and then Cari was escorted by her mother Cheryl to "Mama's Song" by Carrie Underwood. During the sand ceremony I played "Take My Breath Away as requested, and for the recessional it was "Can't Help Falling In Love" by UB40. The cocktail hour was a mix of Adult Contemporary uptempo tunes and then the fun began. The curtain was opened and the guests were welcomed to an Amber up lighted room provided by Eddie B & Company. I introduced the bridal party to "Let's Go" by Calvin Harris w/ Ne-Yo, and then Cari & Travis made their entrance to "Marry The Night" by Lady Gaga. Then the surprise, they had their first dance on the Nimbus Cloud with colored LED light rails making it look like heaven (all provided by Eddie B & Company). After 4 toasts, Travis danced with his mother Cindy to "Song For Mama" and then all the guests enjoyed the main course while watching a ten minute photo montage of the newlyweds. Coming out of dinner I knew I was in for a wild night......these people came to party. I rocked the dance floor with a mix of old school tunes like Planet Rock, Strike It Up, Fantasy Girl, and Gin & Juice along with Pitbull, Flo-Rida, Britney Spears, Ne-Yo, LMFAO, Usher, and of course the Harlem Shake! Then 10 minutes before ending, Travis approached me and said lets go another hour, and then things got STUPID!!!!! I couldn't believe the energy these 52 party goers had.....incredible, they danced for two and a half hours straight!!!! A DJ's Dream! The cake was cut to "Candyman" by Christina Aguilera and then Travis removed the garter to "Danger Zone" and tossed it while I played "Pretty Fly For A White Guy. Cari tossed her bouquet to "White Wedding' and the rest of the night was one big DANCE PARTY! We even did a sing a long dedication in memory of Uncle Dave, to "Margaritaville. The final song was "Glad You Came" and everyone rallied around Cari & Travis on last time. I also want to thank Carolyn and her staff at the Grand Terrace for their hospitality and wish Cari & Travis all the best that life has to offer......I enjoyed being a part of your special day.......DJ/MC Eddie B!
