Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this installment of the WEDDING BLOG!
On October 12, 2019 I had the privilege of being the DJ entertainment for Rachel and Michael. they were married at the Grandview Market Place..
I really enjoy working here. the location is perfect and the staff are always pleasant.
The ceremony was held in the Living Room. As the guests gathered in their seats, I played NEO classical tunes by the Vitamin String Quartet. Then the bridal party entered to "Like Ships Need The Sea" By Emily Hearn . After they made their way to the altar, I played "Here Comes The Bride" for Rachel to walk. The ceremony was very nice with readings by family and friends. Michael and Rachel wrote vows to each other and really expressed their true feeling of love for one another. As the ceremony ended, I played "You Are Mine" By The Avett Brothers
The cocktail hour was now in full swing, and everyone was enjoying the tropical sounds provided by Eddie B. & Company.
Once that ended, the guests were asked to go to the main dining room. As they entered, they were taken away by the amber LED up lights, provided by Eddie B. & Company, of course!. I was playing some cool tunes to set a great mood of fun and festivities.
The bridal party stayed outside to get lined up. I soon started the introductions. First, the bridal party made their entrance. Now it is time for Rachel and Michael to enter. The room erupted with applause! I then asked them to dance their first dance. ".Northern Wind" By City and Colour" was requested. I then invited all of the guests for a celebration "Hora" Then Rachel danced with her dad "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life" By Stevie Wonder was used. A perfect song.
Soon after, I had the parents do their speeches.
During dinner, I kept it light, playing some easy top 40 tunes and some light vocal.
After dinner, we did the cake cutting. Soon after that we really heated up the party and didn't look back!
I was able to play music from all genres and styles. but it was top 40 and 70's-80's that worked the best.
All in all it was a really great party and everyone had a lot of fun! DJ Gregg
