Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with today's installment of the Wedding Blog! On Saturday, I had the pleasure of being the DJ for Mika and David. It was their wedding day! The ceremony and reception was held at the Grateful Palate in Ft. Lauderdale. This is a wonderful little secret, located ON THE INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY of Ft. Lauderdale!. As the guests went on the dock for the ceremony, I was asked to play some Classical music to set a tone of a traditional wedding. The bridal party gathered outside. I then played "Canon in D Minor" by Pachabel. Then Andrea walked down to " A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri. The ceremony was very heartfelt. As the ceremony ended, I played "I Fell Good" by James Brown.
The cocktail hour was held inside the main room. It was decorated beautifully and illuminated with Royal Blue Up Lighting provided by Eddie B & Company. They had a guitarist named Bo play some cool background sounds to set a nice vibe. He was also provided by Eddie B. & Company.
Once the cocktail hour ended, I invited the guests to find their seats. I proceeded to start our grand entrance. Mika and Dave were introduced. The room erupted with applause!
I then asked Mika and Dave to dance their first dance. They chose " Perfect Symphony" by Sheeran & Bocelli. It was very special. I then invited Mika to dance with her father. They picked "This Dance" by Scott THomas.
Shortly after that I invited Fred, the maid of honor, Freddy and Dannick to say a few words. They toasted the bride and groom in style!
Now the dinner service has started. I kept it light. Playing the requested songs on the list.
Soon after, I invited the guests up to dance and we never looked back! I played all styles of music. This was a very diverse group and my music selection made sure that everyone was able to dance. The cake cutting was done towards the end of the afternoon. I played "Sugar Sugar" by The Archies.
All in all, it was a wonderful evening. I feel that everyone had a great time....I know that I did! DJ Gregg
