Wedding and Reception at the Harbor Beach Surf Club

Samantha and Gary Winters tied the knot and celebrated their dream beach wedding on 4/12/2013 at the Harbor Beach Surf Club in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  The wedding began with a beautiful beach ceremony over-looking the Atlantic Ocean on a clear Friday late afternoon.  All 75 guests witnessed Samantha and her father walk down the isle to Somewhere Over The Rainbow by Israel K.  For the recessional Samantha chose I'm Yours by Straight No Chaser then all of the guests headed to the pavilion for cocktail hour while the happy couple and the bridal party posed for pictures on the beach.  The cocktail hour music was a tropical mix that included steel drums, Buffett, Marley, etc.  As the cocktail hour came to an end, I lined up the bridal party for the grand entrance.  Samantha chose Don't Stop The Party by Pitbull for the bridal party entrance and Let's Get Married (Remix) by Jagged Edge and Run DMC for her and Gary.   Their first dance was to No Doubt About It by Neal McCoy then Samantha danced with her dad to Ballerina Girl by Lionel Richie and Gary danced with his mom to Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion.  Lauren (maid of honor) and Mike (best man) made two very funny toasts and Samantha's Uncle Andy gave the blessing before the meal.  The meal was buffet style for everyone to enjoy.  Samantha and Gary chose the classic wedding package which includes dance floor lights and 20 LED wireless  up-lights.  Since this was a outdoor reception I had to get a bit creative.  I decided to aim the up-lights at the trees, shrubs and all of the beautiful foliage that mother nature had to offer.  Samantha and Gary were thrilled to see how impressive the up-lights looked as the skies grew darker.  I was provided with a great play list that included top 40, r&b, classic rock, 80's, disco and country.  This crowd was so much fun and danced almost all night.  The guests were offered cupcakes after the wedding cake was cut then they all enjoyed the garter/bouquet toss.   There were two special request songs for Samantha and Gary's parents.  Gary's parents danced to Wichita Lineman by Glen Campbell and Samantha's parents danced to You're Still The One by Shania Twain.  Everyone joined them on the dance floor and danced until the end.  The last song for the evening was Can't Help Falling In Love With You by UB40.  Congrats to Samantha, Gary and the entire Nielsen and Winters families.  A special thanks to David Diaz of David Diaz Designs (event planner) for organizing the entire event and doing a fabulous job!!  Can't wait to work with him and his staff again.
