Good day wedding Bloggers! DJ Gregg with this weeks installment. Today I bring you the wedding of Adam and Katie. They were married on the ocean at the Hillsboro Beach Club. If you have never been there, then you are missing a breath taking venue. The Hillsboro inlet lighthouse is on the property! As the guest walked in to the main room, I played very funky. Music with a good beat. Not too much to distract, but enough to let everyone know that the party is about to begin. After I lined up the bridal party, I proceeded to introduce them. They came in to the song " Bring Em Out" by T.I. Then I introduced the bride and groom to "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" by Jay-Z. These songs were special requests from the bride and groom. The room exploded with applause! I then played the first dance " Sea of Love" by Cat Power. It went over very well. Another slow song for the rest of the guests and then I sat everyone down for the toasts and dedications. The brides dad got up to do the welcome speech and dedication. It was very touching. Now dinner is served. I kept it light during this time. Frank Sinatra and the rest of the Rat Pack, etc. After the intermezzo, I introduced the bride to dance with her father to "Centerfield" by John Fogerty. Then I invited Adam to dance with his mom to "Forever Young" by Rod Stewart, during this song I invited all of the guests to dance, and the party began! I played a lot of new music and Hip hop! I also got lost in the 80's for little while!! Now we did the garter and bouquet toss and the cake cutting. They were a little messy with each other but all in fun! I picked up the pace again after that and we dance the rest of the night away A great time was had by all!! DJ/MC Gregg Pellito
