Wedding and Reception at the Hillsboro Club
Courtney and Douglas King celebrated their wedding at the Hillsboro Club in Hillsboro Beach, FL on 5/19/2017. The ceremony took place at the outside deck over-looking the Atlantic Ocean. Approximately 140 close friends and family members witnessed a very beautiful ceremony and cheered loudly as the happy couple made it official with a big kiss. The cocktail hour was also held outdoors at the patio. I played a mix of tropical tunes as all of the guests mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers. I also took the time to decorate the ballroom with 24 amber colored, LED, wireless up-lights, dance floor lights and our signature "Strike A Pose" photo booth all provided by Eddie B & Company. As all of the guess entered the ballroom for the reception I lined up the 18 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Courtney chose We Are Family by Sister Sledge for the parents intros, Crazy In Love by Beyonce for the bridal party and Marry You by Bruno Mars for her and Douglas' intros. The first dance was to You're My Best Friend by The Once then Courtney danced with her dad to The Way You Look Tonight by Steve Tyrell. The toasts were given by Katherine (maid of honor) and Mike (best man) then Courtney's dad Mr.Sherman gave the welcome speech. Pastor Dennis gave the blessing of the meals then everyone found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal. Courtney did provide me with a play list that included top 40, country, EDM, classic rock and 90s dance hits. After dinner the dance floor was the place to be. I love it when the mix of genres work to perfection, at this wedding it was very evident. The only time they took a breather was for the cake cutting and for the bouquet toss. I did take a few requests for some couples dances and for the latest group dances. As the evening came to a close I played Don't Stop Believing by Journey and that put a bow on an amazing Friday night wedding bash!!!
