Saturday evening April 7th, at the Hilsboro Club in Deerfield Beach with DJ Marc Evans is where the long awaited wedding day had arrived for Mathew and Elizabeth.
Over looking the ocean outside is where guests gather to await Mathew and Elizabeth for the wedding ceremony. The bridal party walked down the aisle to Vitamin String Quartets version of Let Her Go. Elizabeth then walked down the aisle with her dad to VSQ's version of Something Just Like This. Once the pastor pronounced them husband and wife, Mathew and Elizabeth walked back down the aisle to VSQ's Best Day of My Life.
Cocktail hour was inside in the newly renovated Sea Room as guests also gathered by the Tiki Bar with song requests by Elizabeth of Dave Mathews Band, Jason Derulo, Tom Petty and many more requests that guests enjoyed while catching up as they all went to college together in Ohio.
Guests were invited to the main ballroom for the reception which was highlighted by Amber LED up lights, provided by Eddie B & Company. I lined up the bridal party, explained what was going to happen and then went inside the room and pumped up the guests for the introductions with the bridal party dancing into the main room to 24K by Bruno Mars then Matt and Liz to I Choose You by Timeflies as the guest screamed, shouted and applauded for the newlyweds. The first dance was to Yours by Russell Dickerson.
Following the First dance was the prayer and then the toasts as guests were enjoying the many courses provided. Once the last course was concluded the father and daughter dance was to A Thousand Years by Christina Perry and the mother son dance to Don't Blink by Kenny Chesney.
Then I have to say without reservation that this party went to the last second of the night with pure dancing. From Top 40, hip hop and dance music to Shout from the Motown era. With no line dances as requested by Liz, DJ Marc Evans was able to keep this party going all night long. I even played Backstreet Boys and N'Sync and old scholl music. The last few songs of the night were Journey's, Don't Stop Believing, Friends in Low Places and then I had The Time Of My Life from Dirty Dancing as the guests were lifting one another in the air, too funny!!!
The party didn't end there, I played music for the after party which was held outside by the tiki bar. The genre there as at first some dance music and then country for the rest of the evening as a majority of the guests who were from out of town approached me to thank me and inform me of the great time they had and the great music selection I played throughout the night. Off to Bora Bora, my favorite place for the honeymoon. Have a great time - DJ Marc Evans
