On November 9th, 2013, it was a rainy Saturday, however that didn't stop Elisabeth and Chris in making a warm, sunny wedding celebration!
The Doubletree in Sunny Isles played the backdrop for these nuptials, complete with ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.
As the guests arrived into the ceremony room, they could see the ocean and all of its splendor.
I was instructed to play some light vocals and standards.
When the bride was introduced, I played "A thousand Years" by Christina Perry.
The ceremony was very elegant with a reading and it was topped off by the brides brother doing the officiating.
A family affair indeed.
After the ceremony, I invited the guests downstairs to the lounge for cocktails. (Sushi and Shrimp...OH MY!)
Again the room was filled with the sounds of Sinatra, Buble, and the like. (By special request..of course)
Now we open up the main room which was lit up with Lavender LED up lighting provided by Eddie B & Company.
As the guests entered, I played some upbeat instrumental music to set the mood.
The bridal party and the newlyweds were introduced in the room using Rihanna's "We found love" as the soundtrack.
I proceeded to ask the couple to the dance floor for the 1st dance..... "You Are So Beautiful" by Joe Cocker. (With a twist)...
2 minutes in I put the brakes on that song and threw on Pitbull "Feel This Moment". The place went crazy! All of their friends and family came to the dance floor and the party was officially started! It was a lot of fun. We danced for a few minutes and then I sat everyone down for the 1st course.
I kept the music light during dinner.
I then asked the Maid of Honor and Best Man to come up to do their toasts.
Now we went into the 2nd course. After that, I asked the Bride and Groom to dance with their parents. "My Girl" and "Sweet Child of Mine" were used respectfully. We danced the couples for a few minutes and then sat down again for the main course.
After dinned, I played a slow song to get everybody up and then I turned up the heat!
We played music from all genres, however later in the night, I kept it pretty new. Mostly Top 40 tunes.
I then asked them to cut the cake and feed each other. "Pour Some Sugar On Me" was requested. (It was a little messy).
After that it was time to do the garter and bouquet toss. I used "It's Raining Men and Cherry Pie for that (Per their request).
We then proceeded to dance the rest of the night.
