On Saturday August 13th, 2011 I played for Molly and Walter De La Rocha at the Hilton Hotel 17th street causeway in Ft. Lauderdale. Our newlyweds came from Alexandria, Virginia to celebrate with 95 family members and friends. The evening started with a ceremony inside one of the ballrooms. The bridesmaids walked to Air on G String, and Molly chose Canon in D, the recessional was Water Music. After cocktail hour I introduced the bridal party to"Stand By Me" by Prince Royce and Molly and Walter danced to "Tu Amor Have Bien" (Andean Style) by Marc Anthony. Molly found a version on You Tube and sent me the link. They were very happy that I was able to download this special dance for them. The next dance was a surprise and dedication from Molly to her mother Peggy. I dedicated "Mama's Song" by Carrie Underwood. This went over very well and all the guests applauded as Molly and Peggy swayed to the music. Then I played "The Man You've Become" by Molly Pasutti for Walter and his mother Maria. After dinner I started the dancing with a dedication to Molly's brother-in-law Michael Nugent (who walked Molly down the Aisle), it was "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton. I invited the guests to join in and for the next 2 and a half hours we had a festive party going on! I played a mix of Salsa, Merengue, Reggaeton, Hip Hop, Disco Classics, Country, and todays Top 40 Club Hits. I also mixed in the Cha Cha Slide, Electric Slide, and Cupid Shuffle. Later I played "Stuck Like Glue" by Sugarland for the cake cutting and Walter put on a show removing the garter to "Pretty Young Thing" by Michael Jackson. Molly tossed her bouquet to "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and we ended the evening with "Send Me On My Way" by Rusted Root. Eddie B & Company also provided uplighting (Purple) to add to the ambiance of the ballroom, and Molly was speechless when she first enterted the room before the ceremony. I also want to thank the very attentive staff at the Hilton, it was a pleasure working with everyone. Congrats once again to the newlyweds...DJ/MC Eddie B
