Wedding and Reception at the Hilton Hotel Fort Lauderdale Marina

Saturday evening March 12th at the Hilton Hotel in Fort Lauderdale Marina is where Mathew and Jensen became husband and wife. During the ceremony which was changed to inside due to bad weather, the bridal party walked down to Marry Me the instrumental version. Jensen walked down the aisle to I Am Yours by Andy Grammar. Once Matt and Jensen were pronounced husband and wife by the Rabbi who had known Jensen since she was a baby, they walked back down the aisle to This Is It by Scotty McCreery.

During cocktail hour, family and friends enjoyed the sounds the world famous steel drum player from Eddie B & Company, Brian Henry. He plays all the Caribbean favorites!

Once the main dining room was open, family and friends were invited into a the room that was lit with amber lighting, dance floor lights and then a monogram with Mathew and Jensen's name shining large on the floor. I danced the bridal party and the parents into Can't Stop the Feeling, Mathew and Jensen were introduced into a room full of cheering family and friends to The Seventh Nation.  The first dance was choreographed to Perfect by Ed Sheehan.  The Hora followed the first dance as the floor was packed as they lifted Jensen and Mathew up in the chairs for the celebration of the joining of the bride and grooms families.

Once the introductions were over, family and friends enjoyed the photo booth provided by Eddie B & Company that was opened for the remainder of the evening where guests were able to take pictures and then place them in an album and sign it to the bride and groom that they received at the closer of the evening.

Prior to the first course, the three brothers did the blessing over the bread. The MOH and the BM made there toasts along with the FOB and then the father of the bride danced with his daughter to My little girl and the mother and son to Just the Two of us by Will Smith.

Once all the formalities ended, I did not sit them down. The mother of the bride said dance them and thats exactly what I did for two and a half hours. From Hip Hop, The 60s, line dances to include the Cupid Shuffle, The Wop, The Wobble, Cha Cha slide to Paradise by the Dashboard as I split the dance floor and the girls and guys sang to each other. This was one of those weddings where the right songs made the night.

The closing song of the evening was Friends in Low Places. Then the best part of the evening followed. Jensen and Mathew along with the parents of the bride sat on the stage with me as I broke down my equipment, to discuss the evening with me. Jensen told me how everything I mentioned to them worked and how well I read the crowd and we laughed at what the groom did on the dance floor during Thunderstruck, he drank his drink and then threw the cup in the air. A few days after the celebration, Jensen and I text one another to say that we were both still on a high from the wedding night.  What a great time with great people and they enjoyed me and what I had done to create great memories and an evening for them..
