Wedding and Reception at the Hilton Hotel / Singer Island

On Saturday October 3rd, 2012 I was at the Hilton Hotel on Singer Island for Kelly and Rob Wright. This wedding was special to me because more than half of the 115 guests were from the Pittsburgh area (my hometoen). Talk about a picture perfect day, this was it. We started with a ceremony on the beach performed by pastor Paul. I combined with my steel drummer, Brian Henry to provide the ceremony music. Brian played "Canon In D" for the bridal party, and I played "Here Comes My Girl" by Tom Petty for Kelly as she was escorted by her father Mr. Bruce Walton to the beach. After they were pronounced husband and wife, I mixed into "Beautiful Day" by U2. Kelly and Rob couldn't have picked a better song to describe the moment. For the cocktail hour it was all tropical steel drum music and then it was party time! I introduced the entire bridal party to "Gangnam Style" and everyone did their dance as they entered the pavilion. Our newlyweds danced to "I Wanna Grow Old With You" by Adam Sandler, and then Kelly danced with her father Bruce to "Daughters" by Loudon Wainwright III, and Rob danced with his mother Jude to "In My Life" by The Beatles. After toasts by Rob's brother and Kelly's three sisters and finally Bruce (F.O.B.), dinner was served and I did a mix of tap your toes country and island music. Then for two hours I rolled the dance floor with everything from "Party Rock Anthem" to "Good Time" by Alan Jackson. I played a mix of  country party tunes like "Save A Horse", "Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo", "Family Tradition" and "I Love This Bar" with classic rock jams from Journey, AC/DC, The Beatles, and Bob Seger. I also mixed in "Shout", "Footloose", and the highlight song of the evening "The Steeler Fight Song". I gave Kelly and Rob 2 Terrible Towels as they led their guests to a polka party on the dance floor. The cake was cut to "When I'm 64" by The Beatles, and Rob removed the garter to "White Wedding" and tossed it to the "Monday Night Football Theme song! Then Kelly tossed her bouquet to "Where Them Girls At". The final song was a sing a long, "Red Solo Cup" as everyone transfered their drinks to a red solo cup and sang to Kelly & Rob one last time/. WOW what a party this was.....them Steeler fans know how to celebrate. I wish Kelly and Rob all the best....this one will go down on my Top 10 weddings list of my career.....Thank you DJ/MC Eddie B.....and Go Steelers!
