Wedding and Reception at the Hilton Hotel / Singer Island

DJ Gregg is at it again with ANOTHER installment of the WEDDING BLOG. 

This weeks journey takes us to the beautiful Hilton Hotel on Singer Island. This venue is nestled on the Atlantic Ocean! 

The afternoon was perfect. The weatherman really did his job making sure that there was almost no breeze and cool temps in the 70's. The ceremony was on the beach and it made a BIG difference.

As the guests made their way onto the sand, I was instructed to play some NeoClassical tunes by the Vitamin String Quartet.

Once everyone was settled in, the ceremony started. I played "Over The Rainbow" by Israel K. for the bridal party to enter. Then both brides entered with "Tiny Dancer" Piano rendition by Neil Elliott Dorval. A beautiful version of the Elton John classic. This ceremony was very special and moving. You could really see the love in both bride's eyes as they read vows to each other. The ceremony was sealed with a kiss! I then proceed to play "All You Need Is Love" by The Beatles.

The cocktail Hour and Reception were also held outdoors. Again, a beautiful day for it!! I played some cool standards to set a mood. Eddie B & Company also provided an Open Air photo booth which was a BIG HIT among the guests!

Then I introduced the bridal party. I used "Say Hey (I love You) by Michael Franti for the Bridal Party. Then Brianna and Melanie entered to "I'm Coming Out" by Diana Ross. 

I transitioned into their first dance..."I Found You" by the Alabama Shakes. 

After that I invited The Maids of Honor to come up and say a few words. First Chelsea, then Shira. Both were very touching and you can see that they were very happy that Brianna and Melanie were able to find one another!

After that, they served dinner. Again, I kept the mood fun and light. Both brides are into groups like Sublime, Slightly Stoopid and The Revolution. So I made sure I sprinkled those in throughout the evening..

After dinner is when things really heated up! These guys were party animals and ready to have a great time! I was happy to play their requested songs. Both brides are old souls and loved the classics! I mostly stayed in the 60' 70' 80' and 90's. I dabbed a little in the new tunes but quickly went back to what they really loved! 

I am happy to say that the dance floor was busy all evening long! A great party for a great couple.
