Wedding and Reception at the Historic Maxwell Room

On Saturday April 9th, 2016 I had the pleasure of playing for Sierra & Michael and 100 family members and friends at the historic Maxwell Room in Ft. Lauderdale. On a beautiful picture perfect evening the ceremony took pace outside along the New River! The bridal party walked to "A Thousand Years" instrumental version and Sierra walked to the traditional Bridal Chorus by Wagner. Once they sealed the deal with a kiss I played "Happy" by Pharrell as everyone was in a festive & happy mood! The cocktail hour took place inside and out the Maxwell Room for which I played a mix of Steel Drum classics and Adult Contemporary tunes from all decades. I introduce the entire bridal party and Sierra & Michael to "Uptown Funk". Their first dance was to "Then" by Brad Paiseley, and Sirra dance with her father to "When Children Cry" by White Lion followed by Michael's dance with his mother to "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts. Later the cake was cut to "True Believers" by Darius Rucker and Michael removed and tossed the garter to "American Woman" by Lenny Kravitz. Sierra tossed her bouquet to "All the Single Ladies". From there on it was Top 40 Dance music right up to the final song which was "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey! Congrats and all the best to Sierra & Michael. DJ/MC Eddie B!
