Wedding and Reception at the Historic Sundy House
Karen and Michael Tabie celebrated their dream wedding at the famous Sundy House in Delray Beach, FL on 3/20/2014. The event began with a beautiful outdoor ceremony by the fish pool and continued with the cocktail hour at about the same location. Karen, Michael and all of the approximate 35 guests enjoyed drinks, appetizers and some tropical style music at the cocktail hour. After the cocktail hour all of the guests were invited to the reception in one of the many ballrooms that the Sundy House provides. I lined up the bridal party for the grand entrance and the stage was set. Karen and Michael chose Timber by Pitbull and Kesha for the entire bridal party to enter including themselves. The first dance was to a combination of A Kiss To Build A Dream On by Louis Armstrong and You Never Can Tell by Chuck Berry. There were no parents dances so everyone found their seats and Josie (brides sister) and Heidi (sister/maid of honor) gave the toasts. Michael's dad Mr. Mo Tabie gave a heart-felt speech and welcomed Karen into the family. The first of three courses was served and the reception was under way. Michael and Karen did provide me with a play list that included top 40, classic rock, rock & roll, alternative and r&b. This was a small crowd but they made enough noise for 100!! The highlight of the evening was when Mr. Mo Tabie dedicated Cats In The Cradle by Harry Chapin for his son Michael and grandson. All of the dads and sons eventually joined them on the dance floor. A very touching moment!!! There was no garter/bouquet toss but the happy couple did cut their beautiful wedding cake. The dancing continued until the end and the last song for the evening was Save The Last Dance For Me by Michael Buble. This was a great, quaint Thursday night wedding were all of the guests enjoyed themselves and genuinely had fun. Congrats to Karen, Michael and the entire Goheen and Tabie families. Another successful wedding at the Sundy House were the service is always 5 star!!
