On Sunday October 2nd, 2011 I played for Jessica and Patrick Morehouse and fifty friends and family members at the Holiday Inn in Highland Beach. The ceremony was held on the beach and the weather was unbelievable! For the bridesmaids I played "Ode To Joy" by Beethoven and Jessica walked to "Canon In D". After they were pronounced husband and wife, everyone joined them surf side for a shell ceremony while I played "Over The Rainbow" by Israel K. The cocktail reception was held on the pool side patio with music provided by Steel Drummer Brian Henry of Eddie B & Company. The guests really enjoyed the tropical music while they drank and nibbled on appetizers. Then the party got started with an introduction of the bridal party to "Soul Bosa Nova" The Austin Powers Theme! Jessica and Patrick chose "Lovesong" by Adele as their first dance and since it was a lengthy song I invited the bridal party midway. For the parents dances Jessica chose "Chantilly Lace" by the Big Bopper to boogie with her dad to (this was a big surprise to everyone), and Patrick danced with his mother to "Always and Forever" by Luther Vandross. Throughout the evening I dedicated several songs to Jessica's bridesmaids and one for the parents, "Your Mama Can't Dance" by Loggins & Messina. The music playlist covered all genres of songs from the 60's to the present day. The cake cutting ceremony was different when Patrick pulled out a Samuri sword and I Played "Eat It" by Weird Al Yankovic. The garter/bouquet ceremony was a variety of fun songs, "You Sexy Thing",Single Ladies, "Mission Impossible" and "I'm Too Sexy". For the final song the newlyweds chose "Save The Last Dance For Me" by Michael Buble'. Jessica and Patrick are off to Sanibel and Captiva Island for their honeymoon. This was a fun, energetic group of guests for a Sunday night, and I want to say Than You !!!!!! for making me a part of it....DJ/MC Eddie B!
