Sunday afternoon October 11 at the top of Pier 66 is where Lloyd and Andy were joined together as one in a same sex marriage ceremony. The guests entered the main room to Buddha music as requested to keep the tempo upbeat. After 45 minutes of cocktails, I began to invite guests to the dance floor where prior to a poem refer I played Eric Satie, Gymnopedies. Once the ceremony began and Lloyd read his vow Andy followed as we had a planned vow that he would sing his vows with a flash mob of singers joining in, Awesome!!! Once the ceremony concluded, they along with all invited guests did the first dance to Amado Mia by Pink Martini.
Food stations were opened and I invited the guests who wanted to eat and danced the ones that wanted to party. Music ranged from Motown to disco all day long.
Once they concluded the food stations, the cake was cut to How Sweet It is followed by a toast to the grooms.
Then the party got back on track with lots more of disco dancing, top 40 and a lot of rock and roll and Motown.
The party concluded with two songs, Don't Stop Believing by Journey and of course Last Dance by Donna Summer. Guests approached me to inform me how much they enjoyed my music selection and what a great day they had. Whether it's a bride and groom or a same sex marriage, Eddie B & Company and DJ Marc Evans provide top entertainment all the time....
