Wedding and Reception at the Indian Springs Country Club

Good Day Wedding Blog Readers!
On Saturday, 04/05/14, I was the DJ for the ceremony and reception of Matthew and Rachel.
The wedding took place at the beautiful Indian Springs Country Club in Boynton Beach.

The ceremony was held outside by the Wedding Gazebo. It is located very close to the fairway, so the background was very lush and green!
As the guests arrived, I was asked to play contemporary violin music. I chose tracks from 2 Cellos and The Vitamin String Quartet. If you have never heard of them, check them out. They have their music posted on You Tube.
Great music for a wedding ceremony.
When the Bridal Party started to walk, I played "For You To Notice Me" by the Dashboard Confessional.
Rachel walked down the Aisle to "You And Me" by Lifehouse. The ceremony was traditional and very straightforward.
When it was over, I played "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King.

The guests then went into the lobby and patio area for cocktails and Hor D' Horves.
I was instructed to give a "Rat Pack" feel. (Frankie, Dino, Tony, Buble' etc)

Now the main event is ready to begin! I invited the guests into the room with some funky music playing in the background. Nothing over the top, just a good beat to set the tone that we are in for a party!
I lined up the bridal party and introduced them to "Roadhouse Blues" by The Doors. I then introduced Matt and Rachel to "Everybody Needs Somebody" by The Blues Bros. Both of these songs were chosen by the bride and groom and went over great!
I then played the first dance "Whatever It Is" by Zac Brown Band. After that I invited the bridal party and guests to dance to "I Cross My Heart" by George Strait. I immediately played the Black Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feeling". The place went crazy! The dance floor stayed packed until it was time to open the serving stations.

During dinner, I played a lot of the requests from the bride and groom. Songs like "Hotel California", "Open Arms", "Piano Man" and more great classic tracks.

Once every belly was full, I then proceeded to play the Father/Daughter song and the the Mother/Son Song. They were "I Loved Her First" and "Have I Told You Lately" respectfully.
Now we can get the party heated up!
I played a lot of music from the 80's, 90's and current top 40. "Happy" from Pharrel was a big hit and a special request from the bride. Rachel also requested to hear "I Think We're Alone Now" by Tiffany (I haven't played that one in a long time...). It was a very special song that Rachel and her sisters danced to as kids. It really meant a lot to them and they were smiling from ear to ear!

Towards the end of the party, I had Rachel and Matt cut the cake. They chose "Love And Marriage" to be played. I then asked them to do the garter and bouquet toss.
This was very unusual, since the single lady who caught the bouquet was 9 months pregnant and ready to pop! At least her fiance' was the one who caught the garter! That would have been awkward... To say the least!
For those songs, I played "Girls, Girls, Girls" and "Legs". It was really funny and a great photo opportunity!

Once that was finished I got the party pumped up again. We danced for the remainder of the evening to some Old School Bootie, 90's Hip hop and even some Vanilla Ice "Ice. Ice, Baby". Remember that one!
The last song of the evening was a special request from Rachel and Matt. I played Willie Nelson's "The Party's Over".

This was a really fun party and I was happy to be a part of it!
