On Friday, April 27th, 2012 I played at the Jacaranda Country Club for Michelle and JT Handley and 90 friends and family members. We got lucky when the rains passed us by and the outdoor ceremony took place at the gazebo as planned. The bridesmaids walked to "Ode To Joy" and Michelle chose the traditional wedding march for herself. After the ceremony I played "I'm A Believer" by Smashmouth and that brought a smile to everyone's face. The cocktail reception was held inside and all of the guests mingled and listened to Adult Contemporary hits of the 70's, 80's, and 90's. Then it was Party Time! I introduced the bridal party to "Forever" by Chris Brown and Michelle and JT danced to a classic by Frank Sinatra "The Best Is Yet To Come", for their first dance. The toasts were done by the 2 best men and I must say there was some humor added in with touch of class, that had all the guests laughing throughout the speeches. After everyone enjoyed a delicious station buffet with everything from sushi to carving and pasta stations, I presented the parents dances. Michelle danced with her father Patrick to "I Wish You Love" by Dean Martin, and JT danced with his mother Susan to "Thank You" by Dido. I immediately cranked up the sound system and went right into a one hour dance set, playing everything from Flo Rida and LMFAO, to The Bee Gees, Aretha Franklin, The Beatles, and Michael Jackson. For the cake cutting "All You Need Is Love" by the Beatles was their choice, and moving right into the garter/bouquet ceremony, JT got creative removing the garter while "Boombastic" by Shaggy filled the room. Then Michelle tossed her bouquet to "Another One Bites The Dust". From there on it was dance, dance, dance and I played "Shots" as requested by JT, and invited everyone to the bar for a round of SHOTS! For the closing song, by request of the newlyweds, I played "Sweet Caroline" and everyone was on the dance floor in a big circle surrounding Michelle and JT singing to them. This was a fun Friday night wedding and everyone came to party. Now Michelle and JT are off to Europe for their honey moon. I also had the pleasure of working with Affordable Pro photo & video, and I want to thank Darlene, Mike, Jeff, and the entire staff at Jacaranda for their hospitality and first class presentation. Once again congrats and all the best to Michelle and JT!......DJ/MC Eddie B!
