Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the wedding blog.
Today's episode brings us to the Jacaranda Country Club in Plantation for the wedding and reception of Veria and Adam.
As the guests arrived for the ceremony, I was already set up and playing the prelude music. Veria and Adam had requested some Neo-classical hits from the 2Cellos and Piano Guys.
It was a rainy day, but thank goodness the ceremony was indoors! Veria had one of her close relatives play guitar and sing for the ceremony entrance music.
The officiant walked down and then Adam. Then the ceremony began. first, the parents, and then the bridal party. Then Veria came down. She looked gorgeous!
The ceremony was fairly traditional with the exchange of vows followed up with the traditional kiss!
After the ceremony, I played music for the cocktail hour. I was asked to keep it light and happy. Veria and Adam picked out some tropical sounds.
After the cocktail hour, I invited everyone into the main room.
It was aglow with beautiful AMBER LED up lights provided by Eddie B & Company. I played some funky sounds to set the tone and to let everyone know that we were ready for a party! I lined the bridal party up in the other room and proceeded to introduce them. It was really fun to see them dance their way into the ballroom! I used "Party Rock Anthem" to get it started. Now the moment has arrived. Introducing Veria and Adam was wonderful, especially because they walked in to "I Gotta Feeling" by The Black Eyed Peas. After that I invited the Bridal Party to do the toasts. There were a total of 6 speeches! Soon after that, we served dinner. I kept the music light throughout. Once dinner was finished, I got the party started. The majority of the guests were from Trinidad, so I was able to play a lot of Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Calypso as well as some Latin and Hip Hop for Adam's side of the family. This crowd was awesome! I was able to play a little of everything and they just kept dancing and dancing! In fact, the dance floor was packed all night! I love to see a crowd that is there because they really want to be...
As I mentioned earlier, this was a fun loving crowd and you can really see that they wanted to be there.
I wish Veria and Adam a wonderful life together!
