Hello Wedding Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this installment of the wedding blog. Today's episode brings us to the wedding of Gem and Claire. THey were married at the Jupiter Inlet Beach Club in Jupiter. This is a wonderful venue with direct ocean access!
Although Mother Nature was a little temperamental, we still managed to have a wonderful event! The ceremony was held on the beach. As the guests arrived, I was asked to play some light instrumental music. setting a mood for a grand wedding ceremony. Once everyone was settled in, I played "Over The Rainbow" by Israel K. for the wedding party. Then Claire walked down the sand with a violinist playing a special bridal march. The ceremony was very special with readings and special vows. The exit song chosen was "A Sky Full of Stars" by Coldplay.
Soon after that the cocktail hour started on the patio. I played some special songs as requested by Ge,m and Claire. After that I invited everyone into the main dining room. The room was illuminated with Cyan blue LED up lights, provided by Eddie B. & Company. I played some cool sounds from the past, as well as some great modern listening. I asked the guests to find their seats. I proceeded to line up the bridal party for the grand entrance. I played " Sunrise" by Kyogo and then " Marry You" for Gem and Claire. The room was electric!
Soon afterwards, I asked our newlyweds to dance their first song, "You are the best thing" by Ray LaMontagne. Then Claire danced with her dad. They chose " A Bushel and a Peck" by Doris Day. Once that was over, I asked Gem to the dance floor with his mom. They chose "Your Song" by Elton John. really nice.....
Now I invited Jay, the father of the bride and Mehmet, the groom's brother to say the special champagne toast.
During dinner, I played a lot of easy music. Then we got the party started! This was a fun group, so I was able to play a lot of different songs. A mix of top 40, and hip hop, oldies and even some special Turkish songs!
Soon after that, we cut the cake and then we danced the rest of the evening!
