On Saturday July 21st, 2012 I played for Carrie and David Kubicki at the Lago Mar Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale. As 85 friends and family members gathered on the beach (WoW was it ever hot!), I played a medley of piano instrumentals produced by John Tesh. The entire bridal party, including Carrie, walked to "Canon In D" by the O'Neil Brothers. After a short ceremony I played "Hornpipe In D" by Handel, and then everyoone made their way to the cocktail reception on a shaded patio. Once inside and cooled off, I introduced the bridal party to "What I Like About You" by the Romantics. Next up was a warm and cheerful welcome by the F.O.B., Mr. Don Benson. After dinner Carrie and David chose "Someone Like You" by Van Morrison for their first dance. Later Carrie danced with her father to "Father and Daughter" by Paul Simon, and David danced with his mother to "In My Life" by The Beatles. For the cake cutting it was "A Wink and A Smile" by Harry Connick Jr. and David removed the garter to "Another One Bites the Dust", while Carrie tossed her bouquet to "One Way or Another" by Blondie. The music format was a mix of tunes from the 60's thru the 90's. I did not play anything from today's club scene, and to be honest with you, no one requested anything from that genre of music. We ended the evening with a classic from Willie Nelson "Whiskey River" (favorite song of the brides father). The newlyweds are heading on a Mediterranean cruise in two weeks. I also want to thank Claudia and her staff at the Lago Mar Hotel for their hospitality and a delicious dinner. Eddie B & Company also provided royal blue up lighting for the recpetion. Thank you Carrie and David for making me a part of your special day......DJ/MC Eddie B!
