Wedding and Reception at the Lake Pavilion in West Palm
Virginia and Patrick Pratt celebrated their wedding at the Lake Pavilion in West Palm Beach, FL on 12/3/2017. As the approximate 60 guests arrived to the Pavilion they were directed to the ceremony area right outside of the venue. Virginia looked stunning as her 2 sons escorted her down the isle. After the ceremony everyone remained outside for the cocktail hour. I played a mix of tropical tunes while everyone mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers. I also took the time to decorate the ballroom with a monogram of both their names and the date all provided by Eddie B & Company. As the guests entered the ballroom I lined up the 12 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Virginia chose Mi Gente by J. Balvin as the entrance song for the bridal party along with her and Patrick. The first dance was to Perfect by Ed Sheeran and Beyonce then Patrick danced with his mom to A Song For Mama by Boyz II Men. Everyone found their seats then the 2 toasts were given by Rose (maid of honor) and James (best man) along with a blessing of the meals by Pastor Duane. The dinner that evening was buffet style so as all of the guests enjoyed their food I played a mix of easy listening tunes. Virginia did not provide me with a play list since she has seen me in action before. She requested that I play to the crowd and to have a blast...and that I did. What a fun group of guests!! I played a mix of top 40, latin favorites, classic rock and disco. Perfect mix of genres for Virginia's guests. I also took a few requests for the Cha Cha Slide, The Wobble and The Cupid Shuffle. The happy couple did have a cake cutting ceremony and the garter/bouquet toss as the night progressed. With about an hour left Virginia and Patrick surprised their guests with a group that performed the Hora Loca. As the evening came to an end I played At Last by Etta James which is one of their favorite songs. Congrats to Virginia, Patrick and the entire Pratt, Tierney and Rivera families.
Really enjoyed working at the Lake Pavilion for the first time...hopefully not the last.
