Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the Wedding Blog
On Saturday, I had the pleasure of hosting the wedding celebration of Dale and Jennifer.
The ceremony and reception were held at the Lake Worth Casino Complex. If you have never been there, then you are in for a treat. First, there is no casino on the premises, (funny, don't know why) however there is the best ocean front view that you could imagine!
As the guests arrived for the ceremony, I played some instrumental versions of current songs, per request. Vitamin String Quartet and the like.
When the bridal party walked down the aisle, I played Christine Perri. Jennifer walked down to the traditional "Canon in D Minor".
All of the guests stood and paid tribute to the bride on her wedding day. The ceremony was very touching, the officiant did a great job. After the rings were exchanged, and the vows were said, I played the traditional wedding exit.
Now we started the cocktail hour. The room is overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. I played some South Beach tunes and light vocal per request. It was a smooth hour.
Now I opened the main room. It was highlighted with beautiful Cyan Blue LED up lights provided by Eddie B & Company. I proceeded to play some upbeat music to keep the feet tapping. Nothing over the top, but just enough to let the guests know that they are in for a party. I also made the announcement that the Photo Booth provided by Eddie B & Company was ready to start taking snapshots!
I then lined up the bridal party for the grand entrance. I was instructed to play "Dynamite" by Taio Cruz for the Bridal Party entrance. I then played "Back That Thang Up" by Juvenille for Dale and Jennifer. The place lit up with applause!
I introduced their first dance, Brad Paisley's "Then" was requested.
Next, I introduced the Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances. "My Wish" and "The Man You Have Become" respectively.
The guests were seated and I invited Jessica the Maid of Honor and Craig, the Best Man to say a few words and toast Jennifer and Dale.
Dinner was served, and i played some easy listening tunes and some more South Beach vibe to keep a cool mood.
soon after, dinner ends......
Now we get the party going! I played all types of music from all generations. It was a very mixed crowd. Everyone seemed to be having a great time!
Jennifer and Dale cut their wedding cake to Lou Monte's "Che La luna". They fed each other with no mess.
Then the garter and bouquet were removed and thrown. I played "Where Dem Girls At" and "Can't Touch This". It was fun!
We then danced them for the rest of the night.
It was a great evening and I am sure everyone had a great time!
Congrats and all the best to Jennifer and Dale! DJ/MC Gregg
