Stephen and Krissy Renae were married on 6/9/2012 at the Lauderdale Yacht Club in Ft. Lauderdale FL on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The event began with the ceremony which was held outdoors by the dock overlooking the inter-coastal. All of the approximately 50 guests were directed to the ceremony area as they entered the Yacht Club and all seemed very exited to see Stephen and Krissy exchange their vows to each other. Towards the end of the ceremony Stephen, Krissy and their sons Christian, Collin and Ben released 10 doves into the open air. That was a nice touch for the ceremony. After the ceremony everyone was invited indoors for the cocktail hour. The guests enjoyed appetizers and drinks along with smooth jazz music to set the mood as Stephen, Krissy and immediate families pose for pictures by the dock. As everyone sat down for the grand entrance and the main course I lined up the bridal party. The ballroom was decorated with 12 lavender up-lights (provided by Eddie B & Co.) For the bridal party they chose We Are Family by Sister Sledge and then the bride and groom entered to Love Is In The Air by John Paul Young. Stephen and Krissy went right into the first dance which was Your Love by Shane & Shane and there were no parents dances. Stephen's brother Jimmy Renae gave a speech that had everyone laughing hysterically. He is one funny guy!! Stephen then thanked all of the guests for attending this wonderful wedding then Krissy's brother Kevin gave the blessing before the meal. As the first course was served Stephen's sons Christian and Collin surprised everyone by performing Canon In D on the piano and viola. They got a huge round of applause. Krissy provided me with a list of her favorite songs and I took a few requests mostly for 70's and 80's music. After dinner the dancing got started and the favorites to dance to were classic rock tunes. Stephen and Krissy decided on having cup cakes instead of a wedding cake and a delicious chocolate fountain for everyone to enjoy. The last songs for the evening were Last Dance by Donna Summer and The Love Boat Theme (inside joke). You see Stephen and Krissy, right after the last dance walked across to the dockside and boarded a 34 foot yacht and everyone gave them a big send-off. What a way to start the honeymoon!! Congrats to Stephen and Krissy Renae and to the Monahan and Deboer families. The Lauderdale Yacht Club will remember this one for a long time. DJ Ray
