Hello Wedding Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this installment of the wedding blog. Today's episode brings us to the Living Sculpture Sanctuary in Davie. This is a wonderful outdoor venue with waterfalls and beautiful gardens. there is even a Koi fish pond!
Although mother Nature was a little harsh on us, we still managed to have a wonderful event! The ceremony was held in the pavilion to avoid the torrential rainstorm.... As the guests arrived, I was asked to play some light instrumental music. setting a mood for a grand wedding ceremony. Once everyone was settled in, I played "Take My Hand" by Emily Hackett for the wedding party. Then Sarah walked down the aisle to "I choose You" by Ryan Darling. The ceremony was very special with readings and special vows. The exit song chosen was "Something Beautiful" by Tim Halperin.
Soon after that the cocktail hour started. The room was illuminated with Amber LED up lights, provided by Eddie B. & Company. I played some cool sounds from the past, as well as some great modern listening. As the cocktail hour was coming to a close, i asked the guests to find their seats. I proceeded to line up the bridal party for the grand entrance. i played " Uptown Funk" and then " Blurred Lines" for Anthony and Sarah. The room was electric!
soon afterwards, I asked our newlyweds to dance their first song, "Forever Starts today" by Tim Halperin. Then Sarah danced with her dad. They chose " Daddy's Angel" by T. Carter. Once that was over, I asked Anthony to the dance floor with his mom. they chose "Better together" by Jack Johnson. really nice.....
Now I invited Jennifer and Vin (Maid of honor and Best Man) to say the special champagne toast. Then Melissa came up and toasted. We concluded the special toasts with Sarah's dad saying a few words of encouragement.
during dinner, I played a lot of easy music. Then we got the party started! This was a young group, so I was able to play a lot of the newest songs. A mix of top 40, and hip hop.
No cake cutting or bouquet toss was done, so we danced the rest of the night! A great time!
