Saturday evening December 10th at The Marriott Harbor Beach Resort is where the reception was held for Adam and Howie. All dressed in lavender, the guests received flip flops and then were asked to gather on the beach for the ceremony. There was a string quartet playing the music but Eddie B & Company provided the microphones for the awesome ceremony held in a beautiful setting overlooking the ocean.
After the ceremony on the beach, and the cocktail hour on the veranda over looking the ocean, the guests were invited into the main ballroom highlighted with lavender LED up lights, two gobo monograms with Adam and Howie's name in lights on the dance floor and a wall along with four LED dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company.
I introduced Adam and Howie into the main room to Lizzo's, It's About Damn Time where family and friends were gathered around the dance floor cheering for them on. The first dance was to Schitts Creek, Simply the Best. Then the immediate family joined. I then invited all the guests to join Adam and Howie on the floor to Simply the Best from Tina Turner and then We Are Family.
Once guests were seated I invited the brother to do the blessing over the bread as the first course was served. I then officially opened the photo booth provided by Eddie B & Company, where Cecilia invited guests to take pictures with props and then directed them to sign the album and place the photos in the book for years of memories!
Following salads, we proceed to do the Hora, as all of the guests got up and joined in and followed very well as I directed them. That was a great Hora as they sang all the songs with me and lifted the grooms in the air, and then we danced for about 10 minutes prior to dinner.
Following the toasts and the cutting of the cake to Your My Best Friend by Queen, there was a special performance from a few dancers as a surprise to Howie and then the party got back on track with the Big Bands, 70's and many line dances. Cupid Shuffle, Conga, Electric Slide as this was a mix crowd and they enjoyed participating in the line dances.
As the party came to a close there was another special performance that I coordinated with Varla. She was a drag queen that was a comedian and a singer all in one. Her last song was Conga where she danced the guests into the hotel lobby bar for a continuation of the wedding.
Congrats, Happy Holidays and New Year from DJ Marc Evans.
