Wedding and Reception at the Marriott Hotel / Boca Raton
Nicole and Howard Gross celebrated their wedding at the Marriott in Boca Raton, FL on 10/13/2012. All of the 125 guests witnessed a beautiful indoor ceremony where Nicole, accompanied by her parents walked down the isle to All You Need Is Love by The Beatles. After Howard broke the glass the ceremony was over and they exited to Love Is All Around by Wet, Wet, Wet. The cocktail hour was indoor/outdoor as the guests were invited to drinks, appetizers and a mix of Rat Pack style oldies. Soon after the cocktail hour all of the guests were directed into the main ballroom which was decorated with lavender color up-lights and dance floor lights provided by Eddie B & Co. Everyone was excited as I lined up the bridal party for the grand entrance. Nicole chose I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas as the entrance song for the entire bridal party including her and Howard. As they entered the room they went right into their first dance which was When You Say Nothing At All by Ronan Keating. Nicole then danced with her dad to Daughter by Loudon Wainwright III and Howard danced with his mom to The Wonder Of You by Elvis Presley. The 2 maids of honor and the best man gave the toasts and Rabbi Tuffs gave the blessing before the meal. Nicole did not provide a song list and asked me to use my judgment for the music selection. Nicole is of Cuban descent and Howard is of Jewish descent so I have to play a variety of genres. The most popular genres were latin and top 40. I also played a bit of dance classics, 80's and 70's. There was no garter/bouquet toss but Howard and Nicole did cut their wedding cake and there was an ice cream bar for the guests to enjoy. Nicole and Howard also provided a photo booth and a Donut Divas station. It was a great night of fun and plenty of food for everyone. Congrats to Howard and Nicole and to the entire Gross and Ans families. The staff at the Boca Marriott also deserves some acknowledgment for their attention to detail and expertise. DJ Ray
