On Friday November 2nd, 2012 I was at the Marriott Hotel in Key Largo for a destination wedding. Jenna and Travis Doppenberg and 27 friends and family members traveled all the way from Minnesota to be married in paradise! The weather was beautiful and the ceremony on the beach was picture perfect. For the processional the bridal party walked to "Canon In D" by the O'Neil Brothers, and Jenna walked to "Butterfly Waltz" by Brian Crain. After they sealed their vows with a kiss I played by request "Somewhere Beyond the Sea" by Bobby Darin (how appropriate). Cocktail hour was steel drum music all the way, as these Northerners tapped their toes to island favorites. I introduced Jenna & Travis to "Party Rock Anthem" and their first dance was "Better Man" by James Morrison. This group was small in numbers but huge in energy, as they danced right up to the last song of the night, "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton. Throughout the evening I played a mix of todays Top 40 Club hits, some retro 80's, and a few ballads mixed in so everyone could catch their breath. All in all it was another wonderful night in paradise with a group of people that truly enjoyed themselves. I also want to thank the staff at the Marriott for their hospitality. Jenna & Travis are spending their honey moon in Key Largo......couldn't think of a better place I'd want to be! DJ/MC Eddie B!
