On Saturday May 4th, 2013 I was in paradise playing for Lori and Tony O'Callahan and 80 family members and friends. It was a gorgeous breezy afternoon when the ceremony took place on the beach. The bridal party walked to Canon In D, and Lori walked to the traditional "Bridal Chorus". After the exchange of vows and a kiss to seal the deal, I played the traditional Wedding March for the recessional. After a photo session on the beach, all of the guests were invited to enjoy cocktail hour outside the ballroom. They enjoyed a mix of Adult Contemporary and Top 40 Tunes from the 60's to the present day. Then the fun began with an introduction to "Bring Em Out" for the bridal party, and "I Gotta Feeling" for the newlyweds. Lori and Tony chose "Marry Me" by Train for their first dance as husband and wife. Toasts were made and dinner was served, as a variety of classic tunes from Sinatra, Jack Johnson, Bob Marley, Tony Bennet, Michael Buble, George Michaels and many more played in the background. Lori danced with her mother to "Mama's Song" and Tony danced with his mother to "My Wish". The dance floor rolled to a mix of Salsa, Merengue, Top 40 Club, and Retro 80's tunes. Tony removed the garter to "Hot In Herre" and Lori tossed her bouquet to Single Ladies". For the cake cutting it was "Grow Old With You" by Adam Sandler and then "Pour Some Sugar On Me" by Def Leppard. For the final song, I played by request "Closing Time" by Semi-Sonic and wished everyone a good night. The honeymoon for this awesome couple is going to be back to back 7 day cruises on the Allure Of The Seas"....Now that's what I call extending the party! All the best to Mr. and Mrs. Tony O'Callahan.......it was pleasure being a part of your special day! DJ/MC Eddie B.
