Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg again, bringing you this weeks installment of the
wedding Blog.
Our story starts on November 15th, 2014 at the Pompano Beach Marriott Hotel
A beautiful venue right on the beach!.
As the guests arrived for the ceremony, I was instructed to play the Vitamin String Quartet. They are a Neo-Classical group that plays contemporary songs with a classical flair.
The bridal party was introduced to "Con Te Partiro" By Bocelli and Susan came in to "The Wedding Song" by Kenny G.
It was a beautiful ceremony.
After that, I played some "Rat Pack" music for the cocktail hour. You know, Frankie, Dino, Tony, Buble'. you get the picture.
I then asked all of the guests to the main room. I was playing some funky music to keep the toes tapping. The room looked great! It was bathed in light blue uplights supplied by Eddie B and Company.
After everybody was settled in, I introduced the bridal party using "Crazy in Love" by Beyonce' and then the Bride and Groom were introduced to "Let's Get it Started" by the
Black Eyed Peas.
The first dance was "God Bless the Broken Road" by The Rascal Flatts and then I played "From This Moment " for the rest of the guests and bridal party.
I always like to get everybody close to the bride and groom as early as possible in the party.
After that I asked everyone to take their seats.
Susan and Jeff welcomed everyone to the party, and then dinner was served.
Once dinner was over, I played the father daughter and mother son dances. "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong was used for both.
I invited the guests up to dance again, and then the party started!
I was a mixed crowd, so I kept the music rotating,
I played a lot of Pitbull, dance music from the 90's and some classic Rock, 70's disco and even some 50's and 60's.
Mony Mony, Shout, The Cha Cha Slide, etc.
It was really a fun crowd.
About an hour before the party ended, I had them cut the cake and do the garter/ bouquet toss.
I played "How Sweet It is" for the cake and "Single Ladies" for the bouquet toss. For the garter, I played "Sexy and I know it" by LMFAO.
I then opened the floor again ad we danced the rest of the evening.
The last song of the night was a special request "Time of your life" by Green Day.
It was great end to a great evening!
