On 5/31/2013 Suzanne and Frank Ortiz celebrated their dream wedding at the Marriott - Singer Island FL. The ceremony which was held at the outdoor deck by the pool, was delayed a few minutes because of the weather. Approximately 80 guests witnessed a beautiful, traditional Jewish ceremony under the chuppah. After Frank broke the glass everyone cheered loudly for the happy couple as I played Say Hey (I Love You) by Michael Franti for the recessional. The cocktail hour was held indoors as Suzanne, Frank and immediate family members posed for pictures. The music that Frank selected for the cocktail hour was buddha bar (lounge) music which all of the guests seamed to enjoy. Frank and Suzanne chose the classic wedding package which includes 20 up-lights and 2 led dance floor lights. They also added a monogram with their first names and the wedding date that I shined on the wall by the wedding cake and the sweets. They were very excited to see how the ballroom was going to look. As all of the guests were invited into the ballroom for the reception and grand entrance, I lined up the 21 member bridal party. Suzanne requested that I play a different song for all of the couples. She made me a list and I played 11 different songs for the bridal party intros and it worked perfectly. Frank and Suzanne choreographed their intro song along with their first dance. They entered to Feel This Moment by C. Aguilera and Pitbull then had everyone join them for Stand By Me by Prince Royce. Then in true Jewish tradition they all got on the dance floor for the Hora. What a great way to get the reception started. Everyone found their seats then Alana (maid of honor) and Chris (best man) gave two very funny toasts. The first of two courses was served and the wedding was officially in full swing. Towards the end of the main course, Suzanne danced with her dad to In My Life by The Beatles then Frank danced with his mom to Con Los Anos Que Me Quedan by Gloria Estefan. Frank and Suzanne provided me with a great play list that consisted of salsa, merengue, reggaeton, hip-hop, r&b, top 40 and bachata. Everyone was so excited and happy to celebrate with the happy couple especially the fact that Frank and Suzanne were on the dance floor all night. The cake cutting and garter/bouquet toss were performed a bit later then it was back to the dancing. Since Frank is originally from New York, the last song was no other than my favorite NY, NY by Frank Sinatra. Perfect wedding for a great, loving couple. I was very happy to be part of their big day. Congrats to Suzanne, Frank and the entire Saunders, Torres and Ortiz families. A special thanks to the excellent staff at the Marriott - Singer Island. This was my first wedding at this location and I'm sure it won't be my last. Thank you Frank and Suzanne for choosing Eddie B and Co!!
