On Friday July 4th from all over the country, a small group of family and friends made there way to the Marriott on Singer Island to celebrate with Ryan and Victoria Peterson. The ceremony was help outside under the awning as the prelude was from Holst, called Jupiter The Bringing of Jolity. Victoria walked with her dad down the aisle to the traditional bridal chorus. Once pronounced Husband and wife, Ryan and Victoria walked back to All You Need is Love by The Beatles.
Cocktail hour remained outside on the veranda as I played music from artists such as Jason Mraz, some dinner swing Frankie, Dean Martin, Sade and many other tunes that was very low key as requested by Victoria as they took family photos by the alter that was decorated with red, white and blue roses.
After the small group entered the room, I introduced the Newlyweds to Happy by Pharell. The first dance followed by Fly Me To The Moon by Frankie. I then invited all the guests to accompany them on the dance floor. The bride then proceed to dance with her dad to The Way You Look Tonight. The toasts followed by the father of the bride and then the food stations were opened.
Victoria asked that I remain low key with music and all but the guests did dance and she even got on the floor and had a great time. I played Top 40 and some old time rock and roll songs that kept everyone dancing til the end of the event.
Victoria danced with here sister to Isn't She Lovely and then presented her with the bouquet. Victoria and Ryan cut the cake to Everlasting Love following a speech from the newlyweds that thanked everyone to celebrate this day with them.
As the guests departed the main room, I played as requested Summerwind by Frankie as they were prepared to change clothes and head to the boat called The Summerwind to watch the fireworks.
The family and friends of Victoria and Ryan gathered on The Summerwind to watch the fireworks from the water in West Palm beach. I had set up on the top deck and played songs Patriotic songs as the fireworks were going on.
The boat ride was very relaxing as the guest were drinking and reminiscing about the great time that was had by all.
Victoria text me the following day to thank me for getting her family to dance and for doing what she asked me to do.
