John and Niria's wedding was held at the beautiful Maxwell Room in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on Saturday, March 14th. The bridal party arrived early to take some pictures with the photographer by the water before the sun went down. The ceremony was held just outside the reception hall overlooking the New River. Guests began to arrive shortly after 5pm to watch the two exchange vows. The bridal party and bride walked down to a violin cover of Canon in D by Pachelbel. The Officiant proceeded with the ceremony and ended with a prayer before announcing the couple as husband and wife. The new Mr. and Mrs. Tormey chose Best Day of my Life by American Authors as their recessional song before leading the the bridal party and all their guests around the bar area for the cocktail hour. After the cocktail hour I asked that everyone find their seating arrangements before introducing the bride and groom. The newlyweds walked in to Best Day of My Life by American Authors and immediately joined hands in the center of the dance floor as they embraced each other and enjoyed their first dance. Following the first dance of the newlyweds, I invited Niria’s brothers to join her on the dance floor in place of her father to De Nina a Mujer by Julio Iglesias. Following the brother sister dances I invited John’s mother to dance with her son to Don’t Blink by Kenny Chesney, concluding in a huge applause from all their guests. At 9:30 the guests were entertained by an Hora Loca show featuring two energetic dancers from Eddie B and Company that hyped up the crowd and kept everyone dancing, while squeezing in a few choreographed dances to really put on a show. After that it was a party for the rest of the night and everyone was dancing to my selection of 80s and dance party favorites. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Tormey. I had a great time partying with you guys - DJ ELOW
