Good Day bloggers!
This installemnt of the Wedding Blog brings us to the Monarch Country Club in Palm City, Fl.
It is a very nice venue situated on a world class golf course.
The ceremony was held in the garden and the music was provided by Eddie B. & Company. Ricky the guitarist did an excellent job.
After the ceremony, the guests were invited to the main room for cocktails.
I played some smooth South Beach style tunes to set a funky mood.
When Lyle, Diana and the rest of the bridal party entered, I played" I Gotta Feeling" by the BEP's
The first dance was "Then" by Brad Paisley. We then did the champagne toasts and served dinner.
During dinner, I played the requests of Diana and Lyle. From Jack Johnson, to Jason Mraz-- It was a nice feel for food!
After dinner, I invited the guests to dance to "Caballo Viejo". It is a great way to start off a Latin crowd. Then I picked the pace up and we jammed all night!
I played Salsa, Merengue, Reggaeton, Pitbull and all different types of dance music.
After the garter and bouquet toss, we started the "HORA LOCA". This is a Venezuelan tradition. It is very similar to Mardi Gras! Everyone was wearing silly hats or wigs, noise makers, etc. But the best part was when Lyle and Diana came into the room wearing full costumes! An Egyptian Pharaoh and his queen. VERY COOL!
It ended with their requested song..."Take me home tonight" by Eddie Money.
A great party indeed!
