Wedding and Reception at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens.

Van and Christina Hollonquest's wedding was held at the beautiful Morikami in Delray Beach, FL on Thursday June 22nd. The bridal party arrived early to take some pictures with the photographer by the water before the sun went down. The ceremony was held at the edge of the bay overlooking the Japanese Botanical Garden and forest, just before sunset. Guests began to arrive shortly after 6pm to watch the two exchange vows. The bridal party walked down to 24K Magic by Bruno Mars followed by the bride who walked down the aisle with her Uncle Jodie to A Thousand Years by Christina Perri. The Officiant proceeded with the ceremony and ended with a prayer before announcing the couple as husband and wife. The new Mr. and Mrs. Hollonquest chose 24K Magic by Bruno Mars as their recessional song before leading the the bridal party and all their guests back upstairs for the cocktail hour. After the cocktail hour I asked that everyone find their seating arrangements before introducing the bridal party and the new bride and groom. At the couples request, the room was illuminated with beautiful lavender  LED up lighting (provided by Eddie B & Company), to match the bridesmaids dresses and centerpieces. The newlyweds walked in to 24K Magic by Bruno Mars and immediately joined hands in the center of the dance floor as I played their first dance song, Still by Mali Music. Following the first dance of the newlyweds, I invited Christina’s Uncle, Jodie, to join her on the dance floor to dance in her father’s place to Golden Time of Day by Frankie Beverly and Maze. Van and his mother Capatria chose I’ll Always Love my Mama by The Intruders for the mother son dance, concluding in a huge applause from all their guests. After that it was a party for the rest of the night and everyone was dancing to my selection of R&B Soul and Hip Hop favorites. Around 9:30pm I asked the guests where all the single ladies were before inviting them to the dance floor for the Bouquet toss. I played Single Ladies by Beyonce before Christina tossed the bouquet high in the air for the ladies to catch. Shortly following the bouquet toss, Van got down on his knees while his wife occupied a chair in the center of the dance floor. I played Pony by Genuine while Van went under to retrieve his garter. We cut the cake around 10:15pm to a mix of Cake by Flo Rida and Ice Cream and Cake by the Buckwheat Boyz. Congratulations to Van and Christina. I had a great time partying with you guys - DJ ELOW
