Carroll and Matt Best celebrated their wedding at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach, FL on 5/18/2019. The ceremony took place at a nearby church then all of the approximate 100 guests were invited to the Morikami for the cocktail hour and reception. As the guests arrived they were all invited to the cocktail hour for drinks and appetizers. I played a mix of tropical tunes while everyone mingled and I also took the time to decorate the ballroom with 24 amber, LED, wireless up-lights and dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company. As the guests entered the ballroom I lined up the 6 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Carroll chose I'm The One by DJ Khaled for the entire bridal party intro including her and Matt. The first dance was to Can't Help Falling In Love by Elvis Presley then Carroll danced with her dad to Isn't She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and Matt danced with his mom to Godspeed by The Dixie Chicks. The toasts were given by David (best man) and by Matt himself then all of the guests found their seats and prepared for a 4 station/buffet style meal. Carroll did not provide me with a play list but she did ask me to play to her guests and to have fun. Well after dinner the dance floor opened up and they danced the night away. The only break they took was for the bouquet toss (no garter) and the cake cutting ceremony. Carroll and Matt surprised everyone with a grand performance by the Lion Dance Company (a Vietnamese tradition). The closing song for the evening was Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton as everyone gathered on the dance floor for a big group hug. Congrats to Carroll, Matt and the entire Best and Nguyen families.
Special thanks to Alana and her wonderful staff at the Morikami for always providing excellent service
