Wedding and Reception at the National Hotel / Miami Beach
Anna and Devin Rountree celebrated their dream destination wedding at the National Hotel in Miami Beach, FL on 10/8/2016. This wedding had it all!! It began with a beautiful outdoor ceremony by the pool in front of 90 close friends and family members. After the ceremony all of the guests were invited to an indoor cocktail hour where I played a mix of tropical tunes as everyone enjoyed drinks and appetizers. I also took the time to decorate the reception area which was also outdoors with 24 amber colored, LED, wireless up-lights and dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company. As I lined up the 8 member bridal party all of the guests found their seats and prepared for the grand entrance. Anna chose Formation by Beyonce for the bridal party entrance and The Chicago Bulls Theme Song for her and Devin's entrance. The first dance was to Knocks Me Off My Feet by Luther Vandross then Anna danced with her dad to Unforgettable by Nat King Cole and Devin danced with his mom to Summertime by Fantasia. Everyone found their seats and then Marsha (maid of honor) and Andrew (best man) gave the toasts before the first of a 3 course meal was served. Devin did provide me with a great play list that included top 40, classic r&b, hip-hop, funk, soul and EDM. Devin and Anna really know their guests because they filled the dance floor and would not sit down. They did take a break as the night progressed for the cake cutting (no garter/bouquet toss) but then it was back to the dance floor for more dancing/fun. The closing songs for the evening were Don't Stop Believing by Journey and the University of Missouri and Kentucky fight songs!!!! Great way to end an amazing wedding!! Congrats to Anna, Devin and the entire Rountree and Revel families. Special thanks to the staff at the National Hotel for providing without a doubt, 5 star service!!
