St. Patrick's Day and spring break had nothing on this amazing destination wedding on March 17, 2012 at the Ocean Key Resort right outside of the property in Malory Square in Key West, FL. Tim and Erica Reed were the lucky couple that celebrated their sunset wedding with approximately 100 close friends and family members. The ceremony took place right on the boardwalk with a beautiful view of the Gulf. Erica chose all of the ceremony music and walked down the isle with her father to Canon in D. This was the first time in a long time that the guests actually cheered as the bride walked down the isle. After the ceremony the cocktail hour took place under a large white tent as the guests took in the awesome view and drinks and appetizers were flowing. As I lined up the bridal party, the guests were directed to their tables for the grand entrance. Erica and Tim chose Everything Tonight by Pitbull and Neyo as the intro song. The crowd was pumped as the 10 person bridal party were being announced. By the time I introduced Erica and Tim the atmosphere was electric!! They selected She's Got Whatever It Is by Zac Brown Band for their first dance then Erica danced with her dad to My Little Girl by Tim McGraw and Tim danced with his mom to Song For Mama by Boyz II Men. The best man, Tim's best friend and the maid of honor gave 3 very funny toasts then Erica's dad Mr.Thornbloom and Tim's dad Mr. Reed Sr. made two great welcoming speeches. Tim also got into the action as he also thanked everyone for attending his and Erica's big day. The guests were treated to a buffet style dinner with all of the fixin's. During dinner Erica and Tim took advantage of the amazing sunset view and took plenty of great pictures. Erica and Tim provided me with a great list of songs that consisted of top 40, classic rock, country, pop and hip-hop. After dinner the dance floor got completely packed and everyone was loving the mix of songs. I really enjoyed this crowd because of their energy and their great taste in music. As the evening came to a close Erica and Tim had a surprise for their guests. At exactly 10:30pm as everyone was saying their goodbyes a 8 piece Junkanoo band being led by a guy in stilts made their entrance right to the dance floor. After a few songs all of the remaining guests followed the Junkanoo band to the after party at the Rum Barrel just a block away. Along with the beautiful view of the sunset, that was the highlight of the evening. Special thanks and congratulations to Erica and Tim Reed for making me a part of their unforgettable wedding and to the Thornbloom family and Reed family for making me feel like one of their own!!!! I will never forget this St. Patrick's Day....ever!!! DJ Ray
