Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with today's installment of the Wedding Blog! On Saturday, I had the pleasure of being the DJ for Kris and Andrea. It was their wedding day! The ceremony and reception was held at the Opal Grand Resort. This is a wonderful little secret, located ACROSS FROM THE OCEAN of Delray Beach!. As the guests entered the room for the ceremony, I was asked to play some Classical music to set a tone of a traditional wedding. The bridal party gathered outside. I then played "Canon in D Minor" by Pachabel. Then Andrea walked down to " A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri. The ceremony was very heartfelt. As the ceremony ended, I played "Can't Stop The Feeling" by Justin Timberlake.
The cocktail hour was held inside the main room. It was decorated beautifully and illuminated with Amber Up Lighting provided by Eddie B & Company. I played some cool background sounds to set a nice vibe.
Once the cocktail hour ended, I invited the guests to find their seats. I proceeded to line up the bridal party outside. I then played "Timber" by Kesha. Then Kris and Andrea were introduced. The room erupted with applause!
I then asked Kris and Andrea to dance their first dance. They chose " You are The Reason" by Calem Scott. It was very special. I then invited Andrea to dance with her father. We picked "I Hope You Dance" by Leanne Womack. Shortly after that I asked Kris to dance with his mom. Their special song was "My wish" by Raascall Flatts. I then invited all of the guests to join in with them and we danced a party song for a few minutes
Shortly after that I invited Ed, the father of the bride as well as Jean, the maid of honor, Tianna, the Matron of Honor and Matt, the best man to say a few words. They toasted to the bride and groom!
Now the dinner service has started. I kept it light. Playing the requested songs on the list.
Soon after, I invited the guests up to dance and we never looked back! I played all styles of music. This was a very diverse group and my music selection made sure that everyone was able to dance. The cake cutting was done towards the end of the afternoon. I played "Everlasting Love" by Natalie Cole.
All in all, it was a wonderful evening. I feel that everyone had a great time....I know that I did!
