Good Day Wedding bloggers! DJ Gregg is at it again, with the latest installment of the Wedding Blog. On Saturday, I had the privilege to be the DJ for Tony and Tiffany on their wedding day!
The ceremony and reception was held at the Palm Beach National Golf Club. I really enjoyed working at this location. For the ceremony, the guests gathered on the golf course. There was a grand tree to serve as a backdrop to a great ceremony. As they were waiting, I played some NEO Classical music from the 2Cellos. Soon the ceremony began and Tony walked down the aisle. Then Tiffany walked down the aisle to "Here Comes The Bride". The ceremony was short and sweet, as was the kiss given by the newlyweds! We then proceeded to the club for the cocktail hour. The day was comfortable and not very breezy. I played some cool sounds to set a nice tone of things to come.
As the guests entered the main dining room, it was illuminated with Fuscia up-lighting provided by Eddie B & Company. It really made the room very warm and inviting. I was playing some background music with a great beat. I enjoy seeing the guests dancing their way into the room. That is usually a sign of a great evening to come.
Once the guests were settled in, I invited Tony and Tiffany to come in. They asked me to play "Marry You" by Bruno Mars. It was PERFECT! The room erupted with applause and they then proceeded to dance the first dance. "You and I" by Michael Buble was requested. Once that ended, I invited Tiffany to dance with her dad. They asked me to play "Daddy Dance With Me". Then Tony asked his mom to dance their special song. I played "First Lady of my life" by Paul Todd. Shortly after that I invited the guests to sit down for dinner. I was asked to play some light music and standards. Typical wedding fare.
Shortly after that I asked Bill, the Father of the bride and Shorty, the father of the groom to say some special words on behalf of Tony and Tiffany. It was a real tribute to a wonderful couple.
After dinner, I started with a slow song. It was exactly what the doctor ordered! The dance floor was full and we proceeded to keep it full for the rest of the evening. I was happy to say that this was a very diverse group. All ages welcome! so I played all different era's of music for everyone. And still, the dance floor stayed full!
After a while I asked Tony and Tiffany to cut the wedding cake. I played "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes" by Lily James. Shortly after that I invited the guests back to the dance floor and we continued to dance the rest of the night.
I have to say that this was a great party with a great group of guests. It truly makes a difference when everyone wants to dance and have a good time.
