Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the wedding blog.
On Friday I had the pleasure of hosting the wedding ceremony and reception for Raynor and Shannon.
It was held at the beautiful Pelican Grand Resort on Ft. Lauderdale Beach!. The ceremony was on the sand....less than 50 ft. from the waves! It was a beautiful evening. Not too hot and just the right amount of breeze for a very cozy ceremony.
As the guests arrived i played some modern classical tunes by the Vitamin String Quartet. Then the bridal party walked onto the sand. i played "A Thousand Years" by Christine Perri. Shannon made her appearance shortly after that. As she walked down the stairs onto the sand, the guests were listening to " Canon in D Minor" by Pachabel. The ceremony was performed by Raynors Uncle who is also a minister. The recessional song was " Signed Sealed Delivered" by Stevie Wonder.
After the ceremony, all of the guests went to the deck for drinks and refreshments. I played some "South Beach Vibe" tunes.
The main dining room was almost prepared. It looked great! The Lavender up lights provided by Eddie B. & Company really set the room off nicely.
As the guests walked in I played some cool house music, again to set a mood of fun in the sun.
The grand entrance of the bridal party arrived. Then Raynor and Shannon were introduced. The place went crazy!
I played "Can't Help Falling In Love" by Haley Reinhardt. A great remake of an old Elvis classic.
The toasts were said by the Maid of Honor and groomsman. Then both dads gave a few words of encouragement to the bride and groom.
After dinner I picked up the pace. We were able to play music from all genres and styles.
It was a lot of fun!!
