Wedding and Reception at the Pelican Grand / Ft. Lauderdale
On Sunday October 20th, 2013 on the roof top of the Pelican Grand in Ft. Lauderdale, is where nor rain
or shine could stop DJ Marc Evans from rocking the house. Along with our Strike A Pose photo booth, provided by Eddie B & Company and operated by attendant
Jerry, we kept the party rocking and created an unbelievable day for the
bride and groom even though it rained so bad we needed to move everything inside
the hotel.
The bridal party walked down to Somewhere Over The Rainbow by
IZ. The bride walked into, God Bless The Broken Road by Rascal Flatts. Once
pronounced husband and wife, Love is Easy by McFly is what they danced down the
isle to.
Cocktail hour was in the rain and I played some funky music
until we had to break down and reset inside the hotel.
Once we regrouped
inside, I introduced the bride and groom to 1,2,3,4 by Plain White T's. They had
a choreographed first dance to Rhythm of Love by Plain White T's. The toast was
made by the sons of the groom and then first course was served. Following the
first course I encouraged all to use the photo booth and while they were taking
pics, they were dancing since we set up rot next to one another after we reset
inside the hotel. They danced to Blurred Lines, Safe and Sound, Treasures, Party
Rock Anthem, Cupid Shuffle and then the second course.
Following the
second course, the bride danced with her two sons, to Child Of Mine by Carol King
and Sweet Baby James by James Taylor. The groom danced with his mom to Somewhere
Over The Rainbow by Johnny Mathis and Ray Charles...
Then we opened the
photo booth and dance floor and everyone danced again to Top 40, Disco, Motown.
You name it, they danced to it. Great time. Despite the rain outside this
party was a huge success...Myself, Marc Evans and attendant Jerry on the photo booth
kept the smiles on there faces all night.
After playing Journey, Don't
Stop Believing and the last song, When I Fall In Love by Art Garfunkel, the groom
approached Jerry and I and thank us agin for being so flexible as we had to
reorganize the party in a new room.
