On May 21st, 2011 I played for a wedding at the Pelican Grand Resort in Ft. Lauderdale for Tony and Nicole Niedda. The perfect day for an outdoor ceremony on the 11th floor....outside ocean view. The wedding party walked to "Ava Maria" by Chris Botti and the bride to "Secret Garden" by Bruce Springstein. After a few words and readings from family members the recessional was "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us" by Starship.Cocktail hour was on the opposite side of the rooftop. Playing a great mix for all to enjoy like..Sting, Dave Mathews to John Mayer. As all the guests made their way downstairs to an outside ocean side pavillion. I introduced the wedding party to "Pick Up The Pisces" by A.W.B. and the bride and groom to "I Got A Felling" B.E.P...The first dance took place right after to "Secret" by Seal, along with the parents dances, the brides was "Unforgettable" by Natalie & Nat King Cole....the grooms was "My Wish" by Rascall Flats..The cutting of the cake took place after a few toasts.,song of choice was "Love Story" by Taylor Swift.Then a buffet was served, and I played a mix of music from different eras....very different. I picked it up after a few requests came in to turn it up till the end...playing Taio Cruz,Usher,J-lo,Lady Gaga to classic rock and old skool rap.It was a great time for all.
