Wedding and Reception at the Pelican Grand Resort
Kelly and Sean McCorry celebrated their dream wedding at the Pelican Beach Grand Resort in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 11/11/2016. The ceremony took place on the beach. That is were approximately 75 close friends and family members witnessed Kelly and Sean make their union official with a big kiss. The cocktail hour took place on the 12th floor terrace. I played a mix of tropical tunes while everyone mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers. As all of the guests entered the ballroom I lined up the 13 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Kelly chose Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars for the bridal party entrance and Boogie Wonderland by Earth Wind and Fire for her and Sean's entrance. The first dance was to Crazy In Love by Van Morrison then everyone found their seats. The toasts were given by Kimberly (matron of honor) and Patrick (best man) then Sean's dad Mr. McCorry gave the welcoming speech and Kelly's mom Kathleen gave the prayer before the meal. During the meals Kelly danced with her dad to Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman and with her mom to Humble and Kind by Tim McGraw. Then Sean danced with his mom to Too-Rah-Loo-Rah-Loo by Bing Crosby and with his grandmother to Unforgettable by Nat King and Natalie Cole. Kelly did provide me with a play list that included top 40, 80s and 90s dance hits and country. Great mix of genres for this up-beat/fun group. After dinner the dance floor filled up quickly!! They really did have an amazing time with the mix of songs I played that night. There was no garter/bouquet toss but they did take the time to cut their beautiful wedding cake/cupcakes. I also took a few requests for classic rock and some of the group dances. As the night came to a close I played I've Had The Time Of My Life from the Dirty Dancing Soundtrack and everyone gathered on the dance floor with the happy couple for a big send off!! PRICELESS!! Congrats to Kelly, Sean and the entire McCorry, McElarney and Bochert families. Special thanks to the staff at the Pelican Beach Resort for their excellent service...as always!!
