Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this week's installment of the wedding blog.
On Saturday I had the pleasure of being the DJ for David and Nicole. They were married at the beautiful PGA National Resort. As the guests gathered for the ceremony, I played some NEO classical songs by the 2Cellos. Soon after, the bridal party arrived. I played "Over The Rainbow" by Israel K.. Then Nicole walked down the aisle. I used "Make you feel my love" by Adele. The ceremony was very personal, with each saying their own vows, exchanging rings and sealed with a kiss!
I then played "Marry You" by Bruno Mars
The cocktail hour then commenced on the patio. I played some island and beach sounds, per David and Nicole's request.
Once the main room was opened , I proceeded to ask the guests in. I kept the feel light and funky. The bridal entrance began with the introductions of the wedding party. I played "Sexyback" by J.T. Then David and Nicole walked in! I used "Marry Me" by Train. It went over great!. I then asked them to dance the first dance. "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol was chosen. Once that ended, I asked Nicole to dance a special song with her Dad. They chose "Dance with my father" by Luther Vandross. Then David danced with his mom. "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts was the chosen song.
Once that ended, I asked Bruce (father of the groom), John (Father of the bride), Elise, the maid of honor and Billy, the best man to say a few words. It was nice to see such close friends and family say wonderful things about David and Nicole. Shortly after that, I invited everyone to sit for dinner. I played some light songs, Motown, old school and light rock.
After dinner, I started the dancing with a slow song and we never looked back
I was able to play a lot of different styles of dancing music. Top 40, oldies, Hip Hop, even some Country!
It was a great party. The dance floor was full ALL NIGHT LONG. A real testament to the love and joy that David and Nicole bring to everyone.
Congrats to the Bride and Groom!
